OUR PROFESSIONS ARE OUR FUTURE
Purposes
We want to emphasize the importance of vocational high schools and the specialization of young people, which are one of the important solutions that will serve the qualified workforce needs of countries. As teachers , our goals are also to give them confidence and hopes in their future jobs and to help them pursue their ambitions. While introducing our professions, we will also discuss our music that motivates us to our work. We will also create a small music archive.
Work Process
This project will be carried out between November and April.
After discovering the scenario of the project, students will first have to complete several tasks (Ice breaking activities)
During the project, surveys , competitions and video presentations will be made with students. We will use many web2.0 tools to keep our project in good cooperation with our partners, for example "Padlet", "Raise your hands if you","Find someone who". The planning of the activities will be carried out together with the project partners, and students' ideas will be taken into account in classrooms , meetings and in forums of discussions .
At the end of the project, a joint e-book/brochure and promotional brochure will be prepared on the basis of the project. Virtual exhibitions will be held. As a follow-up activity, brochures prepared at the end of the project will be used to direct 8th grade students to VET schools but also to prepare our students to their English exam . In addition, every activity will be published on the blogs_school web pages during the project.
Expected results
Individuals will contribute to the quality of vocational education and will raise awareness of the individuals around them. While students improve themselves in English and ICT skills, they will draw attention to today's problems such as global warming and war, brainstorm with their friends and find solutions. Thus, students will be able to show their creativity and team spirit.They will also develop different English skills at their own pace (writing , reading , speaking and understanding) and will realise the importance of speaking English in Europe as it is the most spoken language . This project will enable them to open their minds and discover that somewhere in Europe ,pupils like them are involved in their studies to get their diploma and be qualified . Thanks to the English language, they will be able to communicate , to understand each other or to discover that they have common points. They will support each other in the different activities to achieve their goals and everyone will find their own landmarks .
With this project , we would like our students to be happy people while doing their jobs in the future. So , the suggested activities must attract our students’ attention and they will have to be active during the project process.
